Bahama Breeze Island Grille is a Caribbean cuisine inspired restaurant with live music where you’ll be transported to a sun-warmed island where the sand under your feet is soft, and the breeze against your face is cool. “Feed your Island spirit‘ is their motto. Recently I attended an exclusive preview event to sample two brand new additions to Bahama Breeze’s Legendary Island Cocktail menu – the Yaka Hula Hickey Dula and the Daisy de Santiago – and enjoy complimentary appetizers from Bahama Breeze’s appetizer menu.
Named for a Hawaiian love song, the Yaka Hula Hickey Dula features pineapple juice blended with both Meyer’s Dark and 151 Bacardi. Yes, it is that potent. The Daisy de Santiago is a refreshing Cuban cocktail, invented by Don Facundo Bacardi, is made with his namesake rum, lime juice, and mint leaves. This cocktail could easily replace my Sunday brunch mimosas.
The efficient and super friendly staff kept not only the drinks but the appetizers flowing. We probably ended up tasting the entire appetizer menu ranging from Pulled Pork , Sliders, Empanadas, Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings, Skilled Shrimps, Firecracker Shrimps to Coconut Shrimps and more. The Jamaican chicken wings and sliders were my favorite, spicy and flavorful.
A picture is worth a thousand words. So for once I will let the photographs I took speak for themselves. Sizable portions, live music, smooth cocktails, fresh and playful ambiance, all in all Bahama Breeze is the kind of place that allows you to de-stress from your day-to-day transporting your dining experience into a holiday retreat.
Mr. Barhorst (General Manager) & Ms. DeForest (Sales Mgr) and the staff of Altamonte Springs location went all out to make us feel at home and feed us with endless plates of appetizers. We even received swag bags with gift cards, tropical shirts, and more. So next time you are in a mood to party or chill, step into Bahama Breeze. They have multiple locations at least here in Orlando.
