My initial quest for cheesecakes outside of NY (Junior’s) had taken me to The Cheesecake factory at least a decade ago. I do particularly fancy Winter Park with its array of café, boutiques and high-end quality gourmet items. Having The Cheesecake Factory conveniently located there is an additional bonus for me.
We realized through are numerous visits that we walked in craving the infamous cheesecake but didn’t get a chance to eat it since we were full by the end of our dinner; since the portions are fairly large. The trick we have learned through the years is to order at least one cheesecake as soon as we are seated. Sharing one cheesecake get’s each of us a bite and a half, satisfying our craving for cheesecake and curbing our hunger till our meals arrive. Nice touch!
The Cheesecake Factory offers more than 30 flavors to their repertoire. The cheesecakes are smooth and creamy, just sweet enough and made over a thin crust, barely noticeable. My personal favorites are the NY style and Lemon-Raspberry. On this visit we tried the Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake. My apprehension was that adding a layered cake to the subtle cheesecake can make the entire experience too rich, sweet, and take the light away from the main highlight – the cheesecake. On the contrary, the tart cream cheese frosting went rather well with the cheesecake and the cake itself was moist. It is remarkable as to how well the execution is of the assortment of flavors Cheesecake Factory has to offer.
Now cheesecake factory has several combination’s in the ’glamburger ‘selection making it a tad difficult at times to make a choice – old fashioned burger, kobe, California, barbeque, green chili to name amongst a few. What caught my eye was the Garden farmhouse burger topped with fried egg. I simply love an egg anytime and topped on a sandwich it just takes the entire dish to another level of comfort. Yum!
We also ordered the Fish and Chips, Four Seasons Pizza, and Vegetarian Quesadilla. The portions are enormous so 2 people can easily share one dish. The fish and chips were battered light and the fish was crisp and fresh. I do particularly enjoy the tomato sauce on their pizzas.
Consistent flavors, fresh ingredients, well executed dishes including the international flavors, and the extensive menu has turned me into their loyal customer for life.
