  1. I use a special blend Cajun Seasoning with pretty much everything, it’s my husband’s favorite and according to him it makes everything taste better. Garlic Powder and Cayenne Pepper are also favorites I constantly use.

  2. My favorites are oregano and basil and I love them for cooking my own fresh tomato sauce from garden tomatoes!

  3. Really use a lot of whole cloves. Seems odd, but I’m always buying that. Cinamon is another always out spice.

  4. Curry powder, its a spice that you can use on almost everything,it replaces my salt most of the time.

  5. My favorite is Cayenne Pepper because it is like me smokey with a little heat.

  6. I love cumin. It makes great falafels. and it is good for veggie tacos, the tofu takes like meat.

  7. I love cooking with spices because they make your food more interesting. Hard to choose just one favorite but cinnamon is always a hit with sweet dishes and smoked paprika gives a great kick to savory dishes.

  8. love cinnamon – it just adds that extra sweetness to cookies, cakes, and oatmeal!

  9. Turmeric. It goes with everything. I put it on tortillas, oatmeal, soup, fruit, and even dye fabrics with it. Gorgeous dark orange color, and so healthy!

  10. My favorite spice is cayenne pepper because we like our food HOT and SPICY! The hotter, the better!

  11. I love to use garlic because I love the taste and it makes everything have a little extra zip to it!

  12. My favorite spice is thyme. Because I love the aroma, earthy and refreshing at the same time. It’s also very versatile and good in many recipes.

  13. I love garlic and use whenever I can! I think its taste adds a wonderful flavor to most foods!

  14. My favorite spice to cook with is onion powder. I use it even when I have fresh onions in the food. Lends a touch of sweetness to each dish and makes all the ingredents taste better.

  15. Cumin and coriander together, and then also cinnamon. I add cinnamon to everything, from my cereal to my coffee.

  16. I like many, many spices, but I especially like cinnamon because I like the combination of sweetness with heat. I also like the health benefits of cinnamon with helping to control blood sugar.

  17. I love using cajun seasoning on many of my meat dishes (gumbos, roasts) and also on some roasted veggies for an extra spicy flavor.

  18. Picking just one spice is very Tough. I use so many on a daily basis! but since i have to choose, I would have to say ground cumin. Mainly because its so versatile and it adds a very earthy, nutty warmth to all my dishes. I have used it in Indian food, chili, tacos, chicken, fish etc

    Thank you!

  19. Cardamom . From sweet to savory to even warm/cold drinks, it’s versatility , the flowery bouquet of taste and the fragrant aroma . It adds that umami factor in a variety of dishes.

  20. Turmeric Because You can use it in so many dishes, from any middle Eastern to even eastern dishes..to European to you name it you can use it..
