Who doesn’t love Cheese? It’s almost too Gouda to be true. Nearly 2,000 people attended the second annual O-Town MacDown this past weekend at Osceola Heritage Park. Cheesier (and much tastier) than a lime-green leisure suit, the O-Town MacDown is a macaroni-and-cheese cooking contest and fundraiser for Give Kids The World Village, a 79-acre resort for children with life-threatening illnesses.
This delicious event featured talented chefs and caterers from around Orlando, each looking to whip up the best mac-n-cheese dish in Central Florida.
In addition to the mac-n-cheese battle, Saturday’s competition included live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, a Kids’ Zone, interactive games provided by Orlando City Soccer Club and unlimited samples of the best mac-n-cheese on the planet.
Here’s a video snippet of the fabulous time we had. And man we did love and savor each delectable bite!!
Our personal favorites were: Four Seasons, Hard Rock, Second Harvest, and Paramount Fine Foods Chicken Shwarama Mac n Cheese.
