Recently I was invited to judge the Internal Iron Chef Loews Hotel Competition, a friendly competition amongst teams from each of Loews on-site hotels – Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Loews Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Spearheading the competition was Hard Rock Hotel’s Executive Sous Chef Anton Vintes. Interestingly enough the unanimous winner was the team of Hard Rock Hotel. Needless to say I had to pay them a visit at their home base The Kitchen to experience their deliciousness.
When guests at the Hard Rock Hotel feel the urge to raid the ‘fridge’, they head to The Kitchen for a variety of New American cuisine, and comfort food with a rock ‘n’ roll attitude. The Kitchen’s walls are adorned with culinary-themed memorabilia from the Hard Rock Hotel’s many celebrity guests. Visiting rock stars often perform cooking demonstrations of their favorite dishes at the Chef’s Table, and afterward their personalized cooking apparel is immortalized on the restaurant’s “Apron Wall.”
A Picture is worth a thousand words. So allow me to share our feast through the lenses of the talented Bokeh Studio.
Blue Cheese Potato Chips – Bacon, Parmesan Cream, Balsamic Glaze, Scallions. Sweet, savory, and spicy, these chips were crunchy bites of bliss.
Grilled Teriyaki Beef Tenderloin Skewers – Sesame Rice Cake and Kimchee. Healthy, fresh, and flavorful – these savory bites won’t leave you guilty for indulging in deliciousness.
We also tasted Crispy Calamari, Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Buttery Chicken Quesadillas (new item), Classic Chicken Cobb Salad, and Cheesecake.
Cause we all need a little chocolate in our lives – Kitchen Sink with Chocolate Guitar.
