Over the holidays, any thought of self-control is usually snuffed out around a mouthful of gingerbread or one of the many treats your co-workers left out. Once January 1st rolls around, we promise ourselves we’re going to diet and work off those extra pounds, but after two weeks of only salad and broth, it’s hard to stay motivated in our journey of better health.
Fear not!
Director of Healthy Eating and Integrative Nutritionist at the YMCA of Central Florida, Chef Gary Appelsies, is on a mission to prove healthy changes do not have to be boring, and you can still enjoy those sweet treats without the usual guilt.
Craving a chocolate candy bar to get you through a long week? Switch it out with this Chocolate Holiday Bark loaded with healthy ingredients, and feel just as satisfied.
