Food for Thought:

• In Central Florida, 1 in 6 people struggle with food insecurity.
• Approximately 498,000 individuals turn to Second Harvest’s food pantries and meal service programs to feed themselves and their family each year.
• 193,000 kids don’t know where their next meal is coming from.
• 1 in 4 kids in our community is at risk of going to bed hungry every night.
• 27% are children under the age of 18.
• 113 million more meals a year are needed to fill the hunger gap in our community.

Ensure that NO kid goes hungry, in Florida or across the nation, by joining Central Florida’s celebrated culinary charity Taste! Central Florida, a volunteer-driven event with local chefs, brewers and distilleries donating their time, talent and creations to make this event one of the largest fundraisers of the year for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

Enjoy an epic evening with sublime offerings from 60+ local chefs, mixologists, craft breweries, premium spirits, and wineries. Special culinary adventures include:

A fully automated mobile silent auction featuring signed memorabilia, stays at upscale hotels, dining experiences, rounds of golf on area courses, and exotic adventures and getaways.

The Giving Tree invites guests to win a Taste of Orlando’s most popular establishments. For a $50 donation, guests can select envelopes hanging from a towering tree containing dining and beverage gift certificates ranging from $25 to $300 in value.

The event’s ever-popular Instant Wine Cellar game offers participants a chance to win more than 150 bottles of wine from our exquisite wine cellar valued at more than $2,500.

Guests can also win fine bottles of wine with our Ring Toss For Wine fundraiser. When a ring lands around a bottle neck, the guest wins a bottle of wine to take home.

Last year, your attendance at Taste! provided a year’s worth of meals to more than 716 children at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida! Did you know only last year more than 24,700 meals were served to children at the Coalition? That includes breakfast, dinner and lunch at our on-site Daycare and VPK.
