ABC Fine Wine and Spirits is giving its guests an extra reason to celebrate. From March 7 to April 13, guests who visit their neighborhood ABC and purchase qualifying wine and spirits will also be supporting UCP of Central Florida. Selections to support the nonprofit, which helps individuals with and without disabilities achieve their fullest potential, include offerings from E. & J. Winery and New Amsterdam.
“When my uncle Jack Holloway, Jr., was born with Cerebral Palsy, resources to care for children with disabilities were severely limited and many had to live in institutions,” shared ABC Chairman/CEO Charles Bailes III. “It has been because of the great work of organizations like UCP that it is now possible for so many children with disabilities to receive the therapy and education they need during the day and return to their loving families each night. This allows these special children to realize their dreams and live
their lives without limits.”
Over the course of the five-week span, a portion of the sales of the following items at ABC Fine Wine and Spirits will be donated to support UCP:
● Apothic Crush
● Carnivor Cabernet Sauvignon
● J Pinot Gris
● La Marca Prosecco
● Mirassou Pinot Noir
● William Hill Coastal Chardonnay
● New Amsterdam Gin
● New Amsterdam Vodka
● New Amsterdam Apple Vodka
● New Amsterdam Pineapple Vodka
● New Amsterdam Mango Vodka
For more than 50 years, ABC has taken a leading role in raising awareness and funds for the organiztion to ensure families receive much-needed advocacy, care and education to increase accessibility and independence for those with disabilities. Members of ABC’s executive leadership team serve on the UCP Foundation Board, the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee, and also are actively involved in UCP’s annual “Faces Behind the Miracles” Breakfast.
“We wouldn’t be where we are today without the overwhelming support and dedication of the Holloway and Bailes families,” said UCP President/CEO Dr. Ilene Wilkins. “ABC’s founder, Jack Holloway, was one of our founding members and his generosity and advocacy is what spurred our growth from the very beginning. We are incredibly grateful for his legacy, which lives on today in our current, future and past students, and for our longstanding relationship with ABC.” For more information about UCP of Central Florida, please visit www.ucpcfl.org/
