A picture is worth a thousand words! These drool-inducing photographs by the brilliant Bokeh Studio captures the soul soothing experience that awaits you at The COOP.
Chicken and Waffle: Fried Chicken Tender atop Belgian Waffle with a Warm Bourbon Syrup – Need I say more? But oh! How can I resist. Crispy and ultra flavorful chicken, light and moist waffle drizzled with sweet syrup. I so wanted MORE!!
COOP Benedict: A poached egg, sliced tomato & pecan smoked bacon topped with hollandaise sauce. Let me confess Egg’s Benedict is my weakness. On the flip side I am painfully critical when it comes to it. Perfectly cooked poached eggs, thick slices of crunchy pecan smoked bacon, bursting with lemony hollandaise sauce – this my dear friends, is seriously delicious eggs benedict!!
Tamale Pancakes Topped with Pulled Pork: I adore tamales, melting in your mouth pulled pork topped with warm maple syrup – this is a party waiting to happen in my mouth!!
Sweet Potato and Pecan Pancake: No southern meal is complete without sweet potatoes and pecans. I am predicting this will be a hands down winner with kids too!!
Catfish, Grits, and Egg: Cornmeal crusted fried catfish over Anson Mills creamy grits topped with a fried egg. Flaky and light catfish, creamy grits, sunny side egg – a dollop of hot sauce in the mix – you have a classic winner!
Pecan and Maple Crusted French Toast: There is something to be said about the classic combination of nutty pecans with southern dishes. It incontestably heightens the dish to another level.
I was already planning my second visit before I had finished this soul-soothing meal. On my Must-Try list are Chef River’s signature items:
- Southern Poutine: Crispy french fries, covered with melted cheese, sausage gravy and topped with a fried egg
- The King French Toast: Peanut butter, banana and honey sandwiched between two slices of French toast
- Low Country Omelet: Sautéed Gulf Coast shrimp & smoked Andouille sausage in a spicy red sauce over a bed of Anson Mills grits
- Winter Park Classic: Three Lake Meadows Farm fresh eggs, potatoes or grits, with pecan smoked bacon, breakfast sausage links, or texas sausage
- Blueberry & Lemon Compote Pancake
Are you HUNGRY Yet? Breakfast will be available Monday – Saturday from 7 – 10 a.m. Address: 610 W. Morse Boulevard | Winter Park, FL. For more details Check out The Coop’s Website, Facebook, or Twitter Page.
